HISTORIC PRESERVATION:
Tivoli Townhouses, Washington D.C.

The Tivoli Theater is located in Northwest Washington, DC and is the last of the old inner city grand theaters in the city. EBA is a part of the successful design team selected to develop an entire block inclusive of the theater. The historic impact of the theater is reflected in the requirements of all three of the major components of the master planning of the site. The project consists of renovation of the theater, office expansion on the north end of the theater, and 40 dwelling townhouse developments. The requirements of the project include interaction with the community, interaction with the city officials and approvals by the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB).
