Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders Design Guide

The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) in Washington, DC engaged EBA to develop and update the Spinal Cord Injury Design Guide. This document has been utilized across the US in the planning and design of multiple Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders (SCI/D) centers. EBA was also engaged to create a new Long Term Care (LTC) chapter for the SCI/D Design Guide which required the incorporation and refinement of portions of the CLC Design Guide previously developed by EBA. The main purpose for the addition of the LTC component to the SCI/D Design Guide was to provide design guidance specifically for Long Term Care residents of the facilities. The guide and the subsequent LTC chapter were the result of meetings with project team, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and other VA representatives, as well as our research and analysis of best practices in the field.
