Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Consolidation Study for 200 Bed Hospital

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) retained EBA to develop a planning and analysis study of options for the modification or expansion to the VA West Side Medical Center (later named Jesse Brown VA Medical Center).  The study included space programming, planning, workload analysis, service allocation, projection, block studies and evaluation of alternatives to minimize site impact and to enhance outpatient services access.  The data and options developed and used in the conceptual and cost phases of the project were used as tools in the final direction for the subsequent project.  Included in the new structure are a new surgical suite, intensive care beds, M/S Beds, and behavioral care unit.
