In the year 2000, PSINet was the premiere data hosting provider for major corporations worldwide. In keeping with the growth of the high-tech communications market, PSINet embarked on a campaign to open 20 to 30 data centers nationally. EBA Ernest Bland Associates, P.C. is the architectural firm in charge of developing design concepts for all the proposed data centers for the company. In addition, EBA has developed construction document packages for the first of the PSINet hosting sites to go on line including the following locations:
- Atlanta, Georgia – 80,000 square feet
- Dallas, Texas – 78,500 square feet
- Miami, Florida – 105,000 square feet
- Austin, Texas – 300,000 square feet
EBA developed the prototypical PSINet data center design for costing and development packages nationally. The data center sites range from 80,000 SF to 350,000 SF and EBA provided the following services:
