EBA was engaged by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide facility master plans for five medical center campuses in New England for VISN 1. Subsequently, we developed seven additional Master Plans for the healthcare system. These master plans were part of a larger effort related to the VA’s Integrated Planning Process Pilot was initially conducted over a nine month period, and is a part of the basis for subsequent nationwide planning effort proposed by the VA. All 11 major medical centers in VISN 1 were surveyed and analyzed for this project. The second Phase of the process included the six remaining sites and an update to one of the Pilot sites. The major goal of the Integrated Planning Process is to help establish direction for planning at a VISN level through integration of market level service delivery and facility capital planning.
